teagpitta.jpgAt first the scent of this dried tea put me off with its strong mint scent. I'm not a huge fan of mint, and the combination of mint, lemongrass, and cardamom don't make me feel better. The dried tea, with its easily identifiable lemongrass shards and little purple flowers is lovely, and I like that this is an herbal tea. It makes more sense to me to have mint in calming, herbal mixes for some reason. After steeping, the lemongrass and cardamom scents are a more detectable. All three flavors are extremely well balanced, with the mint and lemongrass at the forefront and cardamom lingering as an after tea mint. Contrary to my initial wariness, I think this is balanced, smooth, and very tasty. Herbal tea lovers will most likely enjoy this. The light to medium body of the tea and the tasty and comforting way the mint soothes the stomach while the cardamom lingers on the tongue makes it possible to drink tons of this and have a pleasant time doing so.
