I was a little skeptical to try another orange tea at first since I had been disappointed with them in the past, but this one surprised me. I've only heard good things from friends who have tried Might Leaf, and they live up to their reputation.
The tea bag this orange dulce came in was unlike anything I've seen before. It was diamond shaped and sewn together, allowing a lot of room for the tea to move around. By the cup it was great, I added a little bit of German rock cane sugar, and it really brought out the sweetness of orange that didn't taste fake at all, and a hint of vanilla. The site says the tea is reminiscent of a port, and they were right. Being a budding wino I can appreciate that.
The tea is made from ceylon and China black tea and is an easy brew. I normally worry that my black tea will turn bitter if I don't remove the tea promptly, but this one just created a richer cup. The second infusion was just as good. I thought about trying it iced, but was worried that would take away from the subtlety of the flavors.
I'm very pleased with my first Mighty Leaf experience, highly recommended.
