teagrooibushgingerThe description offers little beyond the blatancy of the title. The ginger scent before and after steeping provides an aroma properly sifting from Grandma's kitchen. It carries the expected ginger primarily, but it's the ginger found in gingerbread cookies rather than the raw spice. This sensation is only amplified in liquid form.

The initial response to the first sip is a slight surprise, providing a bit more kick than expected. It's a rooibus; that taste isn't drowned out. Gingerbread is an independent school of flavor, a blend somewhere between sweet, salty, and bitter. It's a bold move for a tea, although the end result is pleasant enough.

In terms of overall experience, this presents the symptoms of sipping warm apple cider. It is warming, not only in the obvious physical fashion, but from soaking in the experience. It provides the bite of the bold spices and the sparkle of something out of the ordinary.

This is a fair choice for something different. It offers a different experience for this type of tea, whether the core target is rooibus or ginger.
