teasetcmangonutUpon first opening this tea and smelling it, as I do will all new teas, I had to do a double take at the name. Sure enough, it said 'Mango Nut'. The Teas Etc website states that this is a "yummy combination of delicious mango, hearty macadamia nut and refreshing coconut". Yet I did not detect any mango scent in the tea. What I found instead was a nutty sweet coconut fragrance. I put aside my sadness at not being able to smell any mango and prepared my cup. I used 1 heaping teaspoon for one cup of tea. The water was boiling and the tea was steeped for 6 minutes.

After letting it steep, I took another whiff to find that I had lost all of the sweet smell from the dry tea and could only detect nuttiness combined with the rooibos. I found the cup tasted like a strong mix of nutty flavors that intertwined with the rooibos in a lovely way. There was also an undertone of sweetness that I'm assuming came from the coconut but I couldn't smell it.

Overall, I enjoyed the tea. It did not knock my sock off but it is a very pleasant rooibos and one that I will more than likely keep around as I haven't found a ton of rooibos blends that I'm fond of.
