teasetcwhiteroseToday has been a quiet day with my husband at work and all the kids in the neighborhood at school. I felt that my tea for the day should be a continuation of the mellowness, so I choose Teas Etc White Rose. This tea received an Honorable Mention at the World Tea Championships and is made of 100% organic ingredients. The ingredients listed are bai mu dan white tea, organic rose petals and organic chrysanthemums. It really is a beautiful tea with the dark green of the tea leaves, the bright pinkish red of the roses and little bits of white of the chrysanthemums. I was surprised though at the amount of stems and twigs that I found in my sample, a couple still attached to a rose bud. When dry, the rose scent is rather light so this should be a great tea for people that don’t care for a strong floral scent.

I set up my Zarafina for a white tea on a medium strength setting using two heaping teaspoons for my oversized mug. Once brewed, this tea is a very light golden color that I would expect from a white tea and the scent of roses remains light. Upon my first taste, I can see why Teas Etc White Rose won a honorable mention. The floral component rather than overpowering the bai mu dan instead highlights it and adds a natural sweetness. The taste is very subtle and one that lends itself perfectly to quiet contemplative times. At around $20 for three ounces, this is also a rose tea that fits nicely into my budget and one that I plan on picking up the next time I order from Teas Etc.

Speaking of placing an order, Teas Etc has such a great selection of teas that it is easy to lose track of time on their site. Luckily they do have a wish list feature if you sign up as a customer. They also have a section just for their organic teas which I find very handy. I have no problem coming up the minimum order to qualify for their free shipping.

Special Offer! For a limited time, Teas Etc is offering deep discounts on their product line. If you're interested in purchasing this tea or others from Teas Etc, shop now by clicking this link: Teas Etc
