Not Great"The spearmint used in this tea is crisp and strong and really would have produced a great cup of Moroccan Mint tea, had the amount of gunpowder been increased substantially so that one could even tell that green tea was an ingredient."

bostonmorrocanmintBoston Tea Company's Moroccan Mint is, as is typical for a tea named Moroccan Mint, a blend of gunpowder green tea and spearmint leaves. This is a fairly common blend and it might be thought that they all pretty much taste the same. However, I found that that wasn't the case with this particular blend. My main issue with this tea was the disproportionately large contribution of the spearmint leaves in this blend. By looking at the dry blend, it was almost impossible to actually see any of the gunpowder pellets in the tea. I would say that the gunpowder made up no more than 10% of the volume of the tea. As a result, this tea performs almost entirely as an herbal mint tea. It's just about impossible to detect any green tea flavor in this blend. And truthfully, that's a shame because the spearmint used in this tea is crisp and strong and really would have produced a great cup of Moroccan Mint tea, had the amount of gunpowder been increased substantially so that one could even tell that green tea was an ingredient. I really can't recommend this tea because I have had better Moroccan Mint teas. I suppose that I could recommend this as a spearmint tea, but even so, it is a bit pricy in that regard. In all, not my favorite tea from this company, and not one I would be likely to buy or recommend.
