teavanaginsengvitalityA summarization of Teavana's goal is to provide fresh, high quality teas and create a unique tea experience in each of their many stores. They offer over 100 types of tea and have teashops in malls across the country.

Ginseng Vitality Rooibos looks a bit like wood shavings and saw dust. The blend is made of a large number of ingredients: Red Rooibos, apple bits, cinnamon, ginseng root, bean peels, ginger bits, mistletoe, St. John's Wort, lemongrass, field eryngo, cardamom, clove, black pepper and lemon peel. My nose was confused by all these different scents, but if I had to give a description of the aroma, I would vote for orange (I realize there is no orange in the ingredient list – but this is what I smelled).

I steeped 1.5 teaspoons of this blend in eight ounces of water for six minutes. This process created an amusing progression of smells. When I spooned the mix into a damp teapot I detected apple. When I added water the predominant aroma was cinnamon. Over time, this shifted to the scent of mint (another ingredient not present).

The liquor had a golden color and a thick and heavy body which smelled of cinnamon, orange and mint. Initially, I found it difficult to identify the taste. It was pleasant and interesting. As the tea cooled, a citrus-like flavor developed. I found it to be an interesting and peaceful drink.

This tea goes especially well with the piano music of Franz Joseph Haydn.
