andaodragonwellThe scent of the dry leaves is lighter than the Dragon Well standard. This continues after steeping. Even the steam itself feels gentler than its competitors.

With a flavor somewhere between grassy and nutty, the first touches on the tongue suggest a mild green. This mellow, yellow, and green tea offers little bitterness and little force. Each of the slight components to a simple but reasonable concoction seem to hide too far from the spotlight.

The raspy grassiness of Dragon Well is present in the texture but still reduced. It rolls smoothly and doesn't linger. There is no kick.

Realistically, this is a Dragon Well Light. Efforts to combat this by fluctuating the quantities of tea, water, and time created variances. None of these results produced a standard Dragon Well. This isn't a bad tea, but it lacks the impact of many available alternatives.
