lupiciamatchakiariThe green, how wonderfully entertaining! The green colour is from the fine powder of the matcha green tea that is a base in this intricate tea. The matcha and Kirara rice smell a little questionable at first, but once the first fry of rice and boiling water have passed, a simply pleasant aroma presents itself. All of the senses save taste, thus far, have been stimulated and satisfied with this showy rice tea.

Taste, I like it, but I'm not sure why really. Perhaps it is the smokiness that the kirara rice affords, without the burnt popcorn taste that is a faltering point with some rices. The matcha is top notch quality. The ricey and grainy flavours are really brought out in a fanciful way too. The blend of the flavours is a fantastic because they all present themselves, and getting back out what is put into a tea is something that I highly prize. The rice and matcha also complement each other very well. Overall, this tea was good, especially if you’re looking for a well done green flavour, but want to try something that isn’t a routine green.
