kteaslogoKtea's Tuo Cha is about teaspoon sized and wrapped in white paper. I popped three of them into the infuser basket of a 24 ounce pot and steeped five minutes using freshly boiled water. I also tried steeping two using the same water ratio and brewing time but thought three made a better tasting pot.

A deep chocolate-y/coffee colored tea results from the easy steeping process. The good smooth taste of an "everyday" pu-erh comes through perfectly in this tea. It's direct and unpretentious in its taste. The feeling in the mouth is dry and clean with a fine and cleansing overall taste with plenty of the enjoyable qualities of pu-erh shining through...curiously astringent and somewhat earthy and leafy. I thought K's Tuo Cha offering was very enjoyable and completely easy to prepare and sit down with. Lovely coloring and good taste make this a nice option to have on hand for times when you want a good, standard cup of pu-erh. I had two excellent infusions from the tea and a third that was good but not memorable. Experimenting with controlled and uncontrolled (that is to say completely forgotten) second infusions both yielded happy results.

I recommend this as a nice and easy, very reliable tuo cha to have on hand at all times in the tea cupboard.
