kteaspersonalteabagsIf, like me, you are persnickety about your tea, and have a hard time finding a decent cuppa away from home unless you carry your own, and moreover, if you prefer loose leaf teas, then KTeas has a product for you. Their personal tea bag is a roomy 2.5"x3.5", made of thin white fabric with a fold-over pocket top, with an attached dunking string. Simply spoon in the desired amount of leaves, fold the top over, and you're good to go.

I was a bit skeptical about that fold-over top. Would there be leaf-leakage? I decided to put my sample bag to the ultimate test, filling it with KTeas' own Irish Sunrise, a Kenyan black that is very finely cut to the consistency of freeze-dried coffee crystals. I folded the top over, popped it into a pot, poured on the hot water, dunked it up and down mercilessly for several moments, then left it to steep. Not so much as a fleck escaped. The pocket top is very deep and really seems to do the trick. My second concern was whether the fabric would affect the taste, but I could discern no difference.

I’m very pleased with these bags. Armed with a half dozen of these pre-loaded with my favorite teas tucked inside a baggie in my purse, I can face any restaurant dinner or long car trip with confidence. The only downside is that they are are not biodegradable.
