kteaslogoI have far more experience with red rooibos than with its unoxidised counterpart, green rooibos or its cousin, honeybush. This is something I am working to remedy, continuing with this sample from KTeas, a company that has so far only given me pleasant experiences. I haven't made up my mind yet for sure about green rooibush, but I am trying to be open-minded. It took me a few dozen cups of plain red rooibos to decide I like it even when unmasked, so I don't expect to for sure make up my mind today.

The flavour is overall somewhat delicate and decently representative of real peach, though not spot-on enough that find myself awe-struck. I would have preferred a somewhat more rounded flavour, but overall it is a pretty well-balanced.

The green rooibush base is delightful. It has a lasting honey-like aftertaste that I find myself enamoured with. The lovely lingering finish is certainly my favourite part of this herbal and precisely what pushed this from a more run-of-the-mill blend to something good. I don't love the blend overall, but I will enjoy the rest of my sample happily, and I am intrigued to try more of the unoxidised African plant and of KTeas' teas.
