Your Reviews:Add your review » certainly deserves some credit for whipping up a wide variety of herbal blends with unique combinations of ingredients and interesting (purported) health-related properties. Today’s sample is called “Good Hair Day”, as I myself was having a mediocre hair day and thought I could use all of the help I could get. This tea combines nettle, calendula flowers, lemon balm, blackberry leaves, and carrot bits. MyTeaShelf states that the ingredients in this tea stimulate the growth of healthy hair. The bright yellow flower petals and the orange carrot bits make for a nice contrast against the remaining green ingredients. The smell of this tea is very green, in a garden flowers and produce sort of way. I’m sorry to say that I wasn’t too pleased with the flavor of this tea. As was the case with another of this vendor’s herbal blends that I just sampled, I found the flavor of this tea to be overwhelmingly medicinal and carrying a weird aftertaste that tastes like what I can only describe as what you would smell in a florist’s shop. I couldn’t taste much of the lemon balm, and I think that perhaps if this ingredient was a little more abundant, it would have provided a much-needed boost to the flavor of this tea. I imagine you would have to drink a whole lot of this stuff to actually have beneficial effects on hair growth, but that is something that could be overlooked if the tea is worth drinking simply because it is tasty…which, unfortunately, it isn’t.
