Thumbs up!"Cinnamon and plum are two flavors that just go together like yin and yang in my opinion. I can't think of any other flavor that marries with plum like cinnamon. However, I am not sure that the rooibos base alone is my first choice of a 'tea' base."

kteaslogo"Superb as a dessert tea. Or brew up a pot of this as an easy way to get everyone out of bed on a cold morning. The wonderful smell will make you feel like it's the Holidays even in the middle of the summer. Contains Rooibush, plum pieces, cinnamon, cornflower blossoms and other natural flavors." ---KTeas website.

When I opened up the dry sample package of this blend, I was pleasantly surprised by the aroma. It smells delicious and sweet. The aromas reminds me of the smell of a Fall potpourri blend. It also invokes memories of this blend that I used to create by mixing two blends together. One was an fruit tisane that was rather tart and the other was a cinnamon flavored rooibos blend. While that blend was good as a hot drink, it was even better as an iced drink despite the fact that the primary flavor profiles, cinnamon and plum, are ones that I normally associate with the colder months. Unfortunately, I think that fruit tisane has been discontinued so I can no longer make that exact creation anymore, so this is a welcome opportunity to potentially find it's replacement.

I prepared this using water brought to a full boil and infused it for 5 full min. I must say that the little cornflower blossoms add a visually appealing aesthetic to the blend. The aroma of this one is also quite pleasing and left my kitchen smelling as though I had just opened a fresh bag of potpourri. The flavor profile is pleasant, but maybe not quite as full as the aroma coming from the dry sample alluded to. There is a nice mix of flavors and the rooibos, plum and cinnamon can all be tasted. Cinnamon and plum are two flavors that just go together like yin and yang in my opinion. I can't think of any other flavor that marries with plum like cinnamon. However, I am not sure that the rooibos base alone is my first choice of a 'tea' base. This is probably largely due to creation alluded to previously and I am surprised that I feel this way as I am not usually a big fan of those tart fruit tisanes. That said, the cup is still tasty. I did enjoy this with a pinch of German rock cane sugar as that seemed to bring up the flavor profile a bit. Since I loved my other concoction iced, I tried this that way as well. This drink is also enjoyable iced though I wouldn't necessarily say it is better cold than hot. I don't know that this one totally rocks my world, but I could see myself getting a hankering for it now and then.
