kteaslogoThis review has been a long time coming. I tend to drink caffeine free drinks when I am getting ready for bed, and well, that isn’t usually the time for a coherent review. Today however is being a kicked back day with no plans other then relaxing. I couldn’t think of a better time for this review.

KTeas is one company that I have had the opportunity to try several of their blends and have always been happy with them. I have found their prices to be more then reasonable and their teas tasty. In trying out today’s sample however I am venturing into new territory. I have never tried out a green Rooibush before. I have heard that the taste is completely different from a red so here is my chance to compare. One thing they do have in common apparently is the fact that they don’t turn bitter no matter how long you steep them. That can be really good thing especially around here in the evenings.

My sample is very…well green. It consists of green rooibush, peach pieces, sunflower blossoms, natural flavor. The aroma is that of fresh picked peaches even though I am not able to pick out any peach pieces. Must be a wonderful natural flavoring. My husband took one whiff of it and went to grab a peach saying that the aroma made him hungry.

Once brewed, the liquor is a pale gold in color. It almost reminds me of the color of peach nectar. The peach aroma is still very present with just a hint of nuts in the background.

After tasting the infusion, I am still not sure just what green Rooibush tastes like. The blend of the Rooibush and the peach is like a marriage made in heaven. The taste is pure peach. Imagine pureeing up some fresh peaches and then heating them up. Delightful!

Oh and it is even better iced!

In my book, KTeas has another winner! This is most definitely a blend that I will be picking up for icing this summer. I do have one suggestion though. Sell in a larger quantity then 100 grams. Using it for iced tea, that amount will disappear way too quickly.
