Thumbs up!"When assessing the tea itself, this chamomile is very good, yet doesn’t stand out from any other chamomile I have had. When assessing the whole package, however, Ineeka’s chamomile is a winner. "

ineekachamomileIneeka’s slogan is “Cultivating Consciousness” and they offer 100% organic products. Their hallmark, however, is their “Brew-Taché” which combines the ease of teabag brewing with the quality of loose leaf tea. The Brew-Taché material looks like a typical tea bag. However the teabag is larger than normal, as in large enough to fill a tea cup and give the contents room to move about during infusion, and it contains two thin cardboard-like arms that fold away from the teabag and are placed over the rim of the cup to secure the teabag during infusion. The top of the teabag rips off neatly so that the water can be infused directly into the bag. The added bonus is that you get to see the contents of the bag, whereas with normal teabags, the contents (usually specks and dust) are hidden out of view. In this case, the contents were chamomile flowers. The chamomile appears to be high quality and looks like other loose-leaf grade chamomile I have had. Upon opening the tin in which my sample arrived, I was greeted with the honey-apple sweetness that I expected from a good chamomile. The tea did not disappoint in the flavor and delivered the sweet honey flavor that defines a quality chamomile. The tea was very fresh and flavorful. I have to admit that I’ve never really had a bad chamomile, so my overall high impression of this tea probably has to do more with the unique packaging of the Brew-Taché than the actual tea itself. When assessing the tea itself, this chamomile is very good, yet doesn’t stand out from any other chamomile I have had. When assessing the whole package, however, Ineeka’s chamomile is a winner. The Brew-Taché makes for a very convenient way to brew loose-leaf quality tea and performed particularly well with chamomile flowers, which can get pretty messy during steeping. A 14-count package goes for $9.99, making this perhaps a bit pricier than other chamomile options, but for mess-free brewing on the go, these might just be worth it.
