I'm a sucker for any sort of lemon and vanilla/cream/pie combination in a tea, so when I saw we had sampled from another Canadian tea company, it was easy to decide at least one tea to try. The dry herbal smells utterly amazing.

After 8 minutes with over 1.5t of leaf, I got a cup that smelled far more lemon than meringue, but still divine. The flavour is somewhat sour and strongly lemongrass, making the whole thing lean mostly towards lemon, but the meringue is not entirely lost. It is a good cup and lacks any blatant fakeness. The lemon is bright and realistic and the meringue is creamy and sweet.

Unfortunately, I accidentally cut this package open when opening my sample parcel, so I had to use this all immediately. So I brewed it all right away, drank half, and put half in the fridge for later. This makes an interesting iced blend. Even without any added sugar, it is very sweet and dessert-like. It isn't what I'd call refreshing because it is a bit heavy and rich, but it is good.

I prefer this tea piping hot, which is somewhat odd because lemon meringue pie is eaten cold or room temperature. Yet, despite the temperature difference, it still resembles the dessert closely enough that it is satisfying rather than deceitful. I'd probably get this and use it as a hot herbal to drink in hot weather.
