kteaslogoI have no idea why I keep trying dessert teas. I get sucked in by tasty-sounding names, then 90% if the time, it's a disappointment. I almost always regret buying dessert teas that I haven't tried or are from companies I don't really know, and yet I keep doing it. Sigh.

At least this one isn't bad. I'm not in love, but I'm also not kicking myself for offering to review it. I won't name any names, but I recently had a dessert blend that actually made me want to cry, so there was nowhere to go but up. This isn't blatantly sweet and rich, which I think helps the cup overall. It is nutty, fruity, and warming. The almond is surprisingly prominent. This is a calm, relaxing cup rather than a rich, more desserty experience.

My biggest problem with this tea is that it is somewhat cloying, which, while it is a characteristic I never enjoy, isn't so overwhelming in this particular cup as to ruin the experience. It just takes it down a notch. So it's a fine herbal, and while I don't find it overly spectacular, I'd happily drink it in the future.
