I have enjoyed being introduced to "Friday Afternoon". They have some very unique blends that I have not seen anywhere else. When a company comes up with unique blends, it always leaves me curious as to how much effort they put into the quality of their tea! This is only the second tea I have tasted from Friday afternoon, but so far, I am very impressed.

I love a good sencha tea, and this one appears to be a good quality - with large leaf pieces. It looks darker than a green sencha due to the addition of the mints, and there are pretty little pieces of dried ginger root.

I'm not a big fan of mint tea, but I couldn't resist trying this with the ginger (which I am a big fan of) and the sencha.

I really enjoyed it and it is my go to tea when my stomach is not feeling quite right, or I just need a relaxing evening tea! The mint and ginger are great for the stomach and the throat. They make an very unique blend of flavors, minty and spicey, and the scent of the brewed tea is as lovely as the flavor! (I currently have a cold, and so I've added a bit of honey to it - and it's been very soothing on my throat and cough!)

I did find that the sencha was quite overpowered by the mint, and yet, I didn't mind because it also toned down the mint so I didn't feel like I was just drinking a mint tea! The balance of mint and ginger along with the gentleness of the sencha was a very nice mix.

I could easily find myself drinking this tea throughout the winter and I wonder if it might make a really lovely summer iced tea! Just a few more months, and I'll make some to find out. Right now, with snow on the ground, I'd rather drink it hot. It warms the body, soothes the stomach and is a very comforting tea.
