|"Very bright fresh flavor with just a hint of citrus. Highly recommended!"|
The leaves are a dark brownish black and very long for a black tea leaf. The dry aroma is very fresh musky earthy scent reminding me of a walk thru an old growth forest after a rain storm. I set up a very rounded tablespoon of leaves to four cups of water and a steep time of 4 minutes. The liquor is a very deep golden brown with very little aroma.
Now the taste is a real treat. This tea has a very light, crisp mouthfeel. It has a very light earthy taste with just a hint of citrus that really brightens up the flavor. No dryness or bitterness to be found. This is a tea that I can see brewing up a couple pots of and enjoying it throughout the day.
Speaking of a second pot, these are very hardy leaves for a black tea. I set up a second pot to brew letting it steep for five minutes and found no difference in taste. I just love it when I find a black tea where the quality doesn't deteriorate.
I plan on ordering some of this tea for myself. The price is more then reasonable especially when you consider that you can get at least two pots of excellent quality tea out of these leaves.
