This tea is delightful and discrete to itself. There is a deep japanese green flavour to the tea, which makes me think that it is sencha, but the website does not disclose. They merely say that the tea is green and that it has been toasted. The fruity additions to this tea providing an uplifting note in the experience. The drupe of the tea is lively and shines through the tea as the star. The raspberry and pomegranate mingle well to bring out a tart lined sweet flavour of ruby fruit essence.

The cup should be brewed at a maximum of two minutes, after two the tea becomes bitter and highly astringent. However, I found that every brew of Morning Geisha has some quality of astringency to it. If I were pressed to explain this, I would say that it is because of the mysterious toasting method used to prepare the tea leaves. This is the aspect of the tea that I find repugnant. When lightly brewed, this tea doesn't expose the less desirable quality. The moral of this tea story is that this is a uniquely raspberry green when brewed lightly.
