White August is one of my go to tea companies. They have some interesting blends that I really enjoy. I haven't tried their Quiet Blooms yet so I was happy to have the chance to try it. It is made from premium grade green tea from Taiwan that has been scented with Jasmine. The scent is fairly light and very sweet. The tea leaves are fairly...well fat and a deep green. I did find a few stems in my sample.

I set it up to brew using a water temp of 165 degrees and a steep time of three minutes. The resulting liquor is darker then I expected and is a medium gold in color. It reminds me of an oolong as far as that goes. The jasmine aroma is still present but is now lighter.

This tea has a heavier mouthfeel as it just feels rather thick and slightly oily as it rolls around the tongue. No astringency to be found and it has a lingering aftertaste of asparagus. There is a sweetness from the jasmine but it is fairly faint.

I did find that I enjoyed this tea and do recommend for anyone that prefers a lighter touch with the jasmine. For myself, I have found that no amount of jasmine is too much so I probably wouldn't be picking this particular tea up for myself.
