A very, merry unbirthday to you. And you.  And me.  Thank the Mad Hatter that every day (save one) is our UN-birthday.   Now we have an excuse to celebrate with something luscious all the time!

Once I discovered Lupicia's Birthday Tea, I found my preferred lusciousness.  Sure, I'd rather have birthday cake--all frosted white and covered in rainbow sprinkles.  But tea is certainly the next best thing- especially when it reminds me of chocolate cake and candy confetti.

Right away this blend prepared me for something festive.  As soon as I opened the tin, I was greeted with the smell of chocolate.  The darjeeling leaves were swirled with  flower petals-- roses, cornflowers, and marigolds, I suspected, though Lupicia didn't give it away on their website, nor did they respond to my email inquires.

What the website did reveal was that this is a FLAVORED tea, so I assumed there was more in it besides darjeeling and flowers.    Whatever is in it tasted fattening and looked celebratory.  I treat myself to a cup almost every day before lunch.

I guess I'll have to find something even MORE special to drink on my BIRTHday.  That shouldn't be a problem since Lupicia has  about 300 flavored teas for sale, most with tempting, "party-on"  names like "Cookie," and "Happiness," and  "Champagne Rose."  Bottoms up!  I rate "Birthday" a 10.
