Thumbs up!"I am not too sure that I would recommend this blend on the basis of the tea flavor as there wasn't really any. But for someone who would enjoy a hint of a flavor to their water, I would definitely suggest Swirl Teas."

swirlgreenmintA common sight around my household is me heading out the door with my travel mug filled with iced tea. Now usually this involves me brewing up a pot of tea and then tossing ice into my mug to cool it. I have often thought about how wonderful it would be if there was a handy way to cold brew tea right into my mug. After all, one can purchase those lemonades and other various flavors that you pour directly into your water bottles. Enter Swirl Tea.

These are long narrow tea bags that are designed to slip into a water bottle and will cold brew within 10 minutes. They are all made with green tea and come in various blends. The one that I happen to have for review is the Mint and boy did it have a minty aroma.

Rather then using a water bottle since I object rather heavily to them, I put some ice into my travel mug, added some filtered water and then the tea bag. I then let it steep for 15 minutes before I did the taste test.

This tea doesn't deliver a lot of flavor which surprisingly wasn't a real disappointment. What it did instead was freshen up my water similar to adding some muddled mint leaves to iced water. Now my water tasted much crisper, clearer and much more refreshing. This effect even lasted some hours later after all the ice had melted.

I am not too sure that I would recommend this blend on the basis of the tea flavor as there wasn't really any. But for someone who would enjoy a hint of a flavor to their water, I would definitely suggest Swirl Teas. They are making their way out to local supermarkets and natural food outlets. I know that I plan on keeping an eye out for them.
