There is no better way to start off a relaxed day then with an excellent oolong. Now if truth be told, I didn't know when I set up this sample to brew that it would be an excellent oolong but I did know that chances were good simply because of the vendor. I have found myself to be rather impressed by all of the teas I have had the opportunity to try by Driftwood Teas and I was not disappointed this time around.

The leaves in my sample, harvested in the Spring of 2012, have been tightly rolled into little balls and have a grainy aroma with just a touch of the floral. I set them up to brew using 195 degree water and a steep time of two minutes. The resulting liquor is a pale gold with a light honeysuckle fragrance.

This tea is truly one to savor. Naturally sweet, each sip brings on a new discovery. One moment I am picking up hints of sweet potatoes, the next honeysuckles, another shows a grainy side and yet another has a slight bite from minerals. There is a pleasant floral and honey aftertaste which remains on the roof of my mouth. As the liquor cools, the sweetness deepens and mouth feel becomes heavier.

This is an oolong that I would gladly stock however the website is pretty much set up for people in the UK only. There is not a currency converter and the only free shipping is in the UK itself. If I have any recommendations, it would be to add those features to make it easier for your overseas customers.
