cantonkarmaWow, do I love this tea! I've come to be extremely impressed with everything I've tried from Canton Tea Company and this tea is no exception. By rights, it contains two flavors I don't care for: fennel and licorice, so I should not have loved it, but I did! It's a blend of fennel, cardamom, licorice, rose buds and vanilla.

The tea itself looks like potpourri, it's very colorful and one of the more pleasing teas to look over an examine that I have seen. I boiled water and put the recommend 2 teaspoons in my over the mug tea infuser without sweetener. The resulting tea has a subtle bluish-yellow hue and tastes equally sweet and spicy on the palate. It is akin to what I would imagine an herbal chai would taste like. This herbal tea avoids the flabby, dried tree bark flavors that some herbal teas have and is bright, yet soothing.

I could recommend this tea both hot and iced, the flavors are warm and crisp enough to do well either way. Rose is the dominant flavor in this tea, but not overly floral as I find some rose based teas to be. It is well balanced by cardamom in this blend. I quite enjoy it.
